Coven Rising’s central position can collect, upgrade or replace blank positions and add Wilds under its feature rules. A blank cell is therefore not automatically a loading fault. The central mechanic should be read alongside the connected-cluster rule and the active feature state.

Read the unusual cluster layout

The supplier specifies a 1-4-7-6-7-4-1 arrangement of independently spinning positions. Five or more matching symbols form paying clusters. This is not a standard rectangular reel window with an unusual border. Before tracing a win, establish the connectivity rule in the actual paytable rather than importing a left-to-right payline assumption.

Centre collection, modifiers and respins

Special symbols in the central position can collect coin values, upgrade symbols, replace blanks or add Wilds. The centre respins after each win alongside winning positions. This creates a second thing to observe during a sequence: what happened to the cluster, and what new instruction appeared in the middle.

Track coin accumulation and retained upgrades

The published description says feature upgrades can persist and enhanced collection can leave accumulating coin values on the grid. Do not assume that every symbol change lasts equally long. If the help explains several modifier families, take notes separately for their target, duration and settlement point. A single heading such as “sticky bonus” would conceal too much.

Diagnose a blank cell before calling it an error

  1. Check whether the rules identify blank positions.
  2. Compare the grid before and after the central effect.
  3. Note which blanks were replaced and which Wilds were added.
  4. If controls freeze or the help panel cannot open, record that separate technical problem.

Different regional announcements carry different rollout dates. They do not alter the need to read the rules of the loaded version.

Intentional blanks versus a loading problem

Non-paying blanks are part of the described layout. Their presence may look unusual beside traditional symbol-filled reels, but a blank is not evidence of a loading failure. A loading problem should be diagnosed from actual interface behaviour, error messages and controls. Compare what the rules permit with what the screen displays before drawing a technical conclusion.

Keep the entire grid visible for explanation

Our editorial interest is how well a cluster interface explains multiple simultaneous changes. A useful demo record includes the entire grid and centre, not just the largest award. We are not reporting a completed usability test or a measured popularity score. The date variation also illustrates why catalogue metadata deserves caution: a page timestamp, regional listing and operator availability can describe different events without making the core title fictitious.
